Jessica and Brent are getting married in August and the day we did this shoot the weather was terrible. I was going to be meeting up with them in Rosseau and the entire drive it rained. Just before I got there it finally stopped. We fought off the Mosquitos and had a fun shoot. Here are some of the photos!
Being a wedding photographer is a funny gig sometimes. I get hired by people to document some of their most special memories on arguably one of the biggest days of their lives. I essentially parachute in for the big day, try not to stick out like a sore thumb, take my photos and leave. During a wedding I find myself laughing at the stories people tell, and it feels like I am a part of their family for that time, like I have known them forever. When the wedding is over and its time to go home I usually leave thinking if those people lived closer or we were in similar circles we would be friends. I have been really fortunate that for the Deugo family we have become friends. I shot Lesley and Marc’s wedding in 2014, Kelsey and Carlos wedding last year and have had lots of time to get to know everyone in their family. They are all great people and it was really nice to get to do a giant family shoot for them last weekend. It must have gone well because I scored blueberry pie at the end! Hope you guys enjoy your photos.
I was very excited to shoot Kelsey and Carlos wedding a few weeks ago. I met them a couple of years ago when I shot her sister Lesley’s wedding. For me, this wedding was almost a mini reunion. I got to see the whole family again and also got to meet Carlos’s great family. It made for a very comfortable day and a fun one for everyone. Big bonus was it didn’t rain! Would like to thank Allison Lucienne Photography for helping me out all day!
Congrats to Dana and Dayne on a beautiful wedding. Lew and I both had a really great time spending the day with you both and your families. Here are a few highlights from the day and thanks for having us.
A whole summer with no rain and an outdoor wedding, perfect right? Danielle and James handled the 50mm of rain they got like champs. They had a great wedding surrounded with people that love them and had the shelter of a nice big tent. We even had the skies clear up later in the day and got some fun photos outside the tent. Congratulations guys. Thanks to Lew D’souza for helping me out on this wedding.
